Requirements |
|
|
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree, be willing to be enrolled in a Special Education Teacher Certification Program by the first date of employment and be eligible for Emergency Teacher Permit from the PA Dept of Education (PDE). Candidates must be able to maintain all PDE requirements for Type 01 Emergency Teacher Permit from year to year and complete Special Education Teacher Certification within established University program timelines
- Must be able to travel to all CIU20 work locations in Northampton and Monroe Counties as assigned each day and to move to different locations throughout the day as needed.
- Must be able to work all various start and end times each day.
- Must be able to attend to students' daily living needs (bodily fluids, diapering, toileting, grooming).
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, climbing stairs/steps, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling, and squatting required.
- Must be able to work in all CIU classrooms.
- Must be able to train in TACT-2 behavior management and restrain when needed.
- Must be able to learn classroom documentation and perform when needed.
- Must be able to adapt to different classroom environments daily
