Requirements

Any one of the following certifications:

  • Special Education N-12

  • Special Education PK-8

  • Special Education 7-12


5 years + experience teaching beneficial

Experience with Emotional Support population

Strong communication skills

Ability to develop positive rapport with parents and families

Knowledge of special education law and paperwork

Strong behavior management skills

 

Must have the ability to be trained and utilize TACT-2 methods of behavior assessment and apply restraint when necessary.

 

Must have basic computer skills to utilize both CIU-20 computer-based and web-based programs.
