| Secretary to perform all functions necessary to assist the Supervisor of Special Education - Life Skills Support and the Supervisor of Special Education - Multidisabilities & Physical Support in the management support of programs; ensure effective and efficient office operations; be an integral part of the IU vision and mission. Position available beginning mid-September 2026. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Office Duties and Responsibilities Ensure effective and efficient office operations by maintaining confidentiality; providing quality work; improve process efficiency; manage phone calls; maintain staff schedules; manage appointments; handle mail and correspondence; maintain file systems; complete and monitor duplication and lamination requests; maintain work area; participate in the work sharing process; assume additional responsibilities; attend office trainings, workshops, and conferences; extend courtesies to staff and visitors; follow IU policies and procedures; be an integral part of the Intermediate Unit's vision and mission by working as a team member, contributing to and achieving department goals, updating supervisors and team members on potential opportunities. 2, Special Education Duties and Responsibilities Perform all secretarial duties necessary, as well as complete any requests to the satisfaction of the Special Education Supervisors enabling them to maintain manageable and effective programs within the Intermediate Unit 20; be responsible for the completion, distribution and mailing of reports, accurately maintain and update all pertinent files, schedules for Supervisors, and psychologists. Maintain class lists and student files for Life Skills, Multidisabilities, & Physical Support classes in Northampton and Monroe Counties. 3. OTHER MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other job functions as directed by the Supervisor of Special Education This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
