Requirements

This unique teaching position services students ages 3 to 5 years of age who have been categorized as students with moderate disabilities and have aged out of Early Step Programs. 

*Applicants must hold a conferred bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

*It is highly recommended for applicants to hold a valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate with the mild-moderate credential. 

*Be sure to have an updated résumé and letter of interest to upload when submitting your application.

*Completed application will remain on file for one year from the date of the application.  It must be renewed if further consideration is desired.

 
 
Description
 This position requires an educational environment focused on classroom wide instruction in the development in behavior management, communication, and social skills.  The primary goal is to return the students to full time enrollment in the general education program with continuing support in academic and social skills as needed.  Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.

Position benefits include a hybird student schedule with a full day each week with no students for planning and job-embeded professional development.

Preferred for the applicant to have experience with behavior disorders, autism spectrum distorters, and/or speech and language development.
