Requirements

 

The primary responsibility of the speech-language therapist position is to assess, diagnose, prevent, and treat speech and language skills, promote social communication, and cognitive-communication disorders in children.

 

*Applicants must hold a conferred bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

 

*It is highly recommended for applicants to hold a master's degree and valid license from the LBESPA in the area of speech-language pathology.

 

*Be sure to have an updated résumé and letter of interest to upload when submitting your application.

 

*Completed application will remain on file for one year from the date of the application.  It must be renewed if further consideration is desired.

The East Feliciana Parish School Board is bound by the Employment of La. R.S. 17:391.5H stating that any School Board wishing to hire a person who has been evaluated pursuant to t. 505, whether that person is already employed by that school system or not, shall request such person’s Evaluation Results as part of the application process.  The School Board to which the application is being made shall inform the applicant that as part of the mandatory process, the applicant’s Evaluation Results will be requested.  The applicant shall be given the opportunity to apply, review the information received and provide any response or information the applicant deems necessary. By completing the EFPSB application process, your are aggreging and adhering to La. R.S. 17:391.5H.
