Job Summary:
The K-12 Instructional Coach collaborates with teachers to enhance instructional practices across
all subject areas, ensuring that students receive high-quality education. This role focuses on
supporting educators through professional development, curriculum implementation, and data-
driven instruction to promote student achievement. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Master’s degree preferred
Valid teaching certification in relevant subject area(s)
Experience in K-12 classroom teaching; prior coaching experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum development, and assessment
practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, respected by instructional
staff and often sought out to provide support professionally to colleagues

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coaching and Support:
Provide one-on-one and group coaching to teachers in all subject areas.
Model effective instructional strategies and classroom management techniques including
centers, small groups, expert with differentiation, and excel in creating and using
formative assessment to guide instruction
Offer feedback and guidance to improve teaching practices.
2. Professional Development:
Design and deliver professional development workshops differentiated to teacher needs
Facilitate collaborative planning sessions for curriculum development and alignment
Stay current with educational research and trends to inform practice
3. Curriculum Implementation:
Assist teachers in the effective implementation of curriculum and instructional materials
Support the integration of technology and innovative practices in the classroom and be
able to model instructional strategies and technology during regular classroom lessons
Ensure alignment of instruction with PA state and/or national standards
4. Data Analysis:
Analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement
Help teachers develop data-driven instruction and assessment practices
Collaborate with educators to set measurable goals and monitor progress
5. Collaboration and Communication:
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement among staff
Facilitate communication between teachers, administrators, and stakeholders
Organize and lead professional learning
6. Student Engagement:
Promote strategies to enhance student engagement and motivation
Support teachers in creating inclusive and equitable learning environments
Encourage the use of differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs |
