Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Certification: Valid Pennsylvania Administrative Certificate (K-12 or Elementary Principal).
  • Education: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience; prior administrative experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong conflict resolution skills, a proven track record of improving student outcomes.excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in educational technology, and a deep understanding of PA state standards and testing, a collaborative spirit and a "students-first" mindset..
 
 
Description

The Elementary Principal serves as the instructional leader of the school and is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where all students can succeed. This position provides leadership in curriculum, instruction, and school operations while fostering strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.

The Principal works collaboratively with district administration and staff to support student achievement, promote a positive school culture, and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.

  • Provide instructional leadership to support high-quality teaching and student achievement

  • Supervise and evaluate professional and support staff in accordance with district policies

  • Foster a positive school climate that supports student learning and well-being

  • Lead the implementation of curriculum, assessment, and data-driven decision-making

  • Support and monitor student discipline and behavior systems

  • Collaborate with teachers to support professional growth and development

  • Ensure compliance with PDE regulations, special education requirements, and district policies

  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community stakeholders

  • Oversee daily building operations, including scheduling, safety, and crisis response

  •  Manage building-level budgets and resources responsibly
