Provo Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) is an innovative high school program in which students are fully immersed in a professional culture, solve real-world problems, and use industry-standard tools while being mentored by actual employers.
Students spend each semester in collaborative groups completing actual projects from local businesses.
CAPS Instructor Responsibilities and Expectations
- Support/mentor a group of 15-20 students in completing projects for local businesses
- Monitor student progress on projects and intervene when necessary
- Attend client meetings with students and business partners
- Teach professional skills to the CAPS students
- Model effective time and project management skills
- Be present at the Nu Skin building (75 W Center, Provo) for CAPS classes and events
- Attend PD for CAPS teachers on a monthly basis
