Requirements:

• Eligible to chaperone students (age 21 and older and be able to pass a background check)

• Experience in color guard and winter guard performance

• Proficiency in flag, rifle, saber, dance technique and choreography

• Drum corps and competitive winterguard experience given preference

• Color guard and winter guard instruction experience given preference

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Caption Head in the coordination of recruitment activities at the middle school and high school

• Assist the Caption Head in the planning and execution of rehearsals

• Participate as an integral member of the marching band instructional team

  • Planning sessions as much as possible

  • Rehearsals

  • Performances

• Work within the parameters of Provo City School District policies and procedures:

    Remuneration:

     

    This is a stipend position and is not calculated by hours spent.  Staff receiving a stipend are expected to participate in the team calendared events.   The Color Guard Technician can expect to receive a stipend in November for service rendered between July and November and a stipend in May for service rendered between November and July.
