Requirements:

• Eligible to chaperone students (age 21 and older and be able to pass a background check)

• Sound engineering experience (e.g. soundscape design, mic and mixer, and amplification experience)

• Significant experience in marching arts battery, mallet, and auxiliary percussion

• Proficiency in mallet and auxiliary performance and instructional technique

• Drum corps experience is given preference

Front Ensemble Caption Head Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and plan front ensemble sectional instruction

• Participate as an integral member of the marching band instructional team

  • Planning sessions

  • Rehearsals

  • Performances

• Work within the parameters of Provo City School District policies and procedures:

  • Professionalism/Ethics

Remuneration:

This is a stipend position and is not calculated by hours spent.  Staff receiving a stipend are expected to participate in the team calendared events.   The Front Ensemble Caption Head can expect to receive a stipend in November for service rendered between July and November and a stipend in May for service rendered between January and July.
