SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment using pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records. KNOWLEDGE is required to present information to others; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: concepts of grammar and punctuation in both English and Second Language; and age-appropriate activities. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes; and operate equipment using defined methods.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 0% sitting, 0% walking, and 0% standing. The job is performed in a generally hazard-free environment.
Job-related experience is required. Bachelors degree in a job-related area. Description This is a substitute teacher role starting in January 2025. Part-time on-call position with no benefits. The job of Instructional Assistant / Community Ed. is done for the purpose of providing support to the community education program for adults offered in the district. Experience in teaching English to adult non-native speakers is required. Job responsibilities include planning, preparing, and presenting language acquisition lessons & maintaining student records. Classes are taught M-Th 9 am-12 pm & 6:00-9:00 pm |
