FRONT ENSEMBLE CAPTION HEAD:

Requirements:

• Eligible to chaperone students (age 21 and older and be able to pass a background check)

• Sound engineering experience preferred (e.g. soundscape design, mic, mixer and amplification experience)

• Significant experience in marching arts mallet and auxiliary percussion

• Significant experience and proficiency in drum, auxiliary and mallet and performance and instructional technique

• High school marching band experience required

• Drum corps experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Work within the parameters of Provo City School District policies and procedures:

• Professionalism/Ethics

• Work under the direction of the Head Director

• Participate as an contributing member of the marching band instructional team

  • Planning sessions

  • Rehearsals

  • Performances

• Coordinate and plan front ensemble sectional instruction

Remuneration:

• Stipends are not hourly remuneration

• Staff receiving a stipend are expected to participate in all rehearsal and performance events.

• Stipend 1:  Payment for spring clinics and performances (March through May) will be paid in June

• Stipend 2:   Payment for summer camp, show camp and fall season rehearsals and competitions will be paid in November.
