Senior Army Instructor
Independence High School is seeking a Senior Army Instructor. Independence is an alternative
high school in the Provo School District in Provo, Utah.
This position is open to officers in grades O-3 through O-6 or warrant officers in grades W-3
through W-5 who have retired or honorably separated within the last five years, as well as
ARNG and USAR officers in those grades who are currently in a drilling status.The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work well with high school aged youth
in challenging circumstances. Patience and the ability to communicate clearly are essential. In
addition, the successful candidate should have the following attributes:
Good organizational skills
Ability to plan and execute programs and activities
Flexibility of thought
Good general physical health
Negotiation skills
Pay is based on JSIPS (see link above) and ranges from $7053.67 to $7546.57 per month,
exclusive of benefits and any bonuses or stipends. Contracts are available in 10, 11, or 12
month increments. Full benefits, including retirement, are offered by Provo School District. |
