Requirements |

Percussion Assistant (Fall/Winter)
Description: Instruct and supervise percussion students with the Provo HS Marching Band and/or Provo City Indoor Percussion. Provo HS percussion students are expected to learn and perform at a rigorous and competitive level in the UMEA marching circuit, the IMPA Indoor Percussion circuit, the WGI Indoor Percussion circuit, UHSAA Solo and Ensembles, and the Concert band setting.
Specific tasks:

Teach and refine percussion content with individuals, small groups (sub sectionals), full guard (sectionals), and the full band.

Provide appropriate and effective assessment checkpoints (pass-offs) for understanding and growth
-
Provide appropriate and effective feedback to students and fellow staff members.

Supervise students while traveling.

Provide appropriate and effective disciplinary corrections as necessary
Requirements:
-
21 years of age by seasons’ end
-
At least 2 years of performance experience in percussion (either as an instructor or performer, at any level High School or higher)
-
Pass a criminal background check
Compensation: Stipend for each season.
