|
Head Coach – Boys Basketball
Timpview High School | Provo City School District
Timpview High School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-centered Head Coach for our Boys Basketball Program. A leader who is committed to building a championship culture founded on integrity, hard work, and character development. A key component of this role is the ability to establish and maintain a thriving feeder program that promotes long-term growth and continuity from youth leagues through the varsity level. The coach should also be capable of overseeing all aspects of the program,including managing the program budget in full compliance with Provo City School District policies and financial procedures. Strong communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have experience developing competitive teams while fostering positive relationships with student-athletes, families, and the community
Responsibilities Include:

Leading the varsity program and overseeing all levels (sophomore/JV/freshmen) including a feeder program

Designing and implementing practice plans, game strategies, and offseason tournaments and open gyms

Promoting academic excellence and enforcing the UHSAA Scholastic Rule
-
Fostering a positive culture of teamwork, respect, accountability, and sportsmanship

Collaborating with athletic administration and other head coaches
-
Ensuring compliance with UHSAA and Provo City School District policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
-
High school or collegiate coaching experience (head coaching experience strongly preferred)

Knowledge of current coaching techniques, systems, and athlete development
-
Strong leadership and communication skills
-
Ability to mentor student-athletes and build relationships of trust
-
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to complete upon hire)
-
Completion of all required district and UHSAA certifications
-
Teaching license is a plus (pending an open teaching position)
