Timpview High School Assistant Baseball Coach

Timpview High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Baseball Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of the baseball program. The successful candidate will help develop student-athletes both on and off the field by promoting skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, character, and academic success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, workouts, and team activities.
• Teach baseball fundamentals, techniques, and game strategies.
• Support the development of athletes' skills, confidence, leadership, and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team events.
• Assist with game preparation, field maintenance, equipment management, and inventory.
• Help evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote academic achievement and positive behavior among student-athletes.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, state athletic association, and team policies.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive team culture.
• Attend coaches' meetings, professional development opportunities, and required certification trainings.
• Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes and represent Timpview High School with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous baseball coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and strategy.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and motivate high school student-athletes.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Must meet all district employment requirements, background checks, and coaching certification requirements.
