Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Lacrosse Coach. This coach will play a key role in teaching foundational skills, building confidence, and helping beginner players develop a love for the game in a positive, structured environment.

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys mentoring young athletes, understands the fundamentals of lacrosse, and values patience, professionalism, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and running weekday practices focused on skill development, fundamentals, and team concepts

• Work closely with beginner and developing players, providing clear instruction and encouragement

• Support the head coach during games and tournaments, including sideline coaching and player management

• Help reinforce team values such as effort, sportsmanship, accountability, and growth

• Maintain a positive, energetic, and professional presence with players, parents, officials, and staff

• Attend all scheduled practices, games, and tournaments

Schedule & Commitment

• Practices: Weekdays, approximately 2:30–5:30 PM

• Games & Tournaments: Evenings and weekends as scheduled

• Must be reliable and available for the full season

Qualifications

• Prior playing and/or coaching experience (youth, high school, or higher)

• Comfortable working with beginner-level athletes

• Strong communication skills and the ability to teach fundamentals clearly

• Patient, enthusiastic, and supportive coaching style

• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
