Head Girls Wrestling Coach will lead and direct the girls wrestling program while creating a positive, competitive, and supportive environment where student-athletes can develop athletically, academically, and personally.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of the girls wrestling program.
• Develop and implement effective practices, conditioning programs, and competition strategies.
• Teach proper wrestling techniques, skills, sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
• Promote academic achievement and personal growth among student-athletes.
• Build a positive team culture based on respect, accountability, commitment, and inclusion.
• Recruit and encourage student participation in the girls wrestling program.
• Supervise assistant coaches and delegate responsibilities as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, coaches, and community members.
• Coordinate schedules, tournaments, transportation, equipment, and other program needs.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow all school, district, and Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
• Represent Timpview High School with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Wrestling coaching experience preferred.
• Previous head coaching or leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, training, and competition.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with student-athletes and families.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to academic success and the overall development of student-athletes.
• Must meet all district and UHSAA requirements for coaching.
